Eyelash Extension Aftercare

Eyelash Extensions are a high maintenance beauty treatment. They require very gentle care in order for the lashes to last longer and stay in good condition.

Be gentle. Do not rub or pull on your eyelash extensions.

Keep your Eyelash Extensions dry for 4-6 hours after your appointment.

Keep all oil based products away from the eyes and remember that everything on your face will travel to the eye area.

Oil WILL breakdown the adhesive and you will have premature lash extension loss

•No saunas, facials, or swimming within 4-6 hours of application.

Do not stick your head in the oven when baking! It can singe your extensions! Avoid bonfires, grills and high heat when blow drying your hair.

Do not use Eyelash Curlers.

Do not use cotton on your lash extensions.

Wash your lashes daily (after the initial 4-6 hours). Apply oil-free makeup remover with your fingers, rubbing gently down the lashes.

Do not attempt to remove any lashes on your own, call us for an appointment.

Brush your lashes daily.

•Avoid sleeping on your face

•Avoid picking and pulling your lashes

Remember:

1) We aren’t attaching airplane parts! Aggressive behavior towards the lashes will cause the lash extensions to come off.

Eyelash Extensions

1. What are eyelash extensions?

Lash extensions are a way to can add thickness and length to lashes that aren’t as lush, dark or long as you currently want them to be. Professionals apply false lashes–typically one at a time for the most natural look–to your lash line using an adhesive that is safe for the eye area.

2. How much do eyelash extensions cost?

Prices range, but it is safe to say that you should stay far away from a salon that offers lash extensions for $20. Eyelash extensions are a luxury service and you if you want the best quality and safe application of lashes don't be afraid to splurge!

3. Do they last forever?

No. Your natural lashes fall out every 60 to 90 days, but we do not notice when they fall out quite as much because there’s already a new lash growing behind it. False lashes are often thicker and longer than your natural lashes, so when they fall out, you may wind up noticing it more. With lash extensions that are adhered to your natural lashes, they can fall out anywhere from a week up to three or four weeks. typically, you are recommended to get fill ins at least every 2-3 weeks to keep your lashes full and the grown out extensions taken off

4. What are lash extensions made of?

Lash extensions come in different materials. At Tatyanas Beauty we provide top quality synthetic mink.

5. Can I wear mascara with eyelash extensions?

It is definitely not recommended. Additionally, you should absolutely at all cost avoid waterproof mascara.. Using mascara causes your lashes to build up a filmy residue and may potentially cause poor retention

6. Does it hurt to have done?

It is generally not a painful procedure, but some people have negative reactions to materials involved. If you experience any burning, pain or discomfort, let the professional know immediately. Your technician should be trained in dealing with this potential issue.

7. Can I Use makeup remover

It is recommended to clean your lashes every day to keep them free of dead skin and makeup. You must use an Oil free makeup remover, preferably one that is recommended to you by your Lash tech.

Volume vs. Classic

Are you loving the idea of getting lashes but are overwhelmed on what kind of lashes you want ?

At Tatyanas Beauty we offer a variety of styles, lengths, and curls.

If you have blonde lashes and want a more natural “these are my lashes and don't look fake” look we offer brown lashes that are just perfect for you!

If you want that wow factor with gorgeous volume long and full lashes, we offer that as well! (as long as your natural lashes permit it), of course we also offer everything in between!

Classic Lashes

  • Classic lashes, the most common and popular lash application

  • This set of lashes is perfect for clients who have full long lashes and are looking for more curl and thickness.

  • It is not recommended for clients who have short thin lashes, or gaps in the lash lines, the classic lashes will add length but will not add volume or cover up the gaps

  • When applying classic lashes, One single lash extensions is attached to each natural lash.

  • The thickness of the classic lash is thicker then of a volume lash which is why only one extension is applied to each natural lash.

VOLUME LASHES

  • Volume lashes is a more advanced technique of lashing with more in-depth training and practice needed.

  • Volume is the technique where 2-6 lashes are made into a fan individually by hand, and applied to each single natural lash

  • Volume lashes are much thinner in diameter and that is why more then 1 lash can be applied to each natural lash

  • Volume lashes are NOT cluster lashes (avoid those at all cost!)

  • VOLUME LASHES are perfect for all clients looking to add more fullness and thickness to their appearance. Volume is especially recommended for clients who have thinner and/or sparse lashes.
